About the Role
Our client, a well-regarded secondary school and sixth form based in Southend-On-Sea, is seeking a committed and experienced Curriculum Team Leader of Business Studies to lead their successful and growing department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic teacher with leadership experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, or for an established middle leader looking for a fresh challenge.
You will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and day-to-day leadership of the Business Studies curriculum across KS4 and KS5. The school prides itself on a supportive culture, excellent CPD opportunities, and a commitment to driving academic success through inspiring teaching.
Role Details
* Lead the planning and delivery of Business Studies at GCSE and A-Level
* Support and develop teaching staff within the department
* Monitor and improve student outcomes through effective curriculum planning and data analysis
* Drive innovation and ensure high standards of teaching and learning
* Contribute to the wider development of the sixth form and school community

Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject
* Proven experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and KS5
* Strong leadership skills and a track record of raising student achievement
* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
