Job Description
Hours: Whatever you can do! At least 2 hours a week is ideal.
Location: Office-based at Project Colt, Bridgefield Mills, Elland, West Yorkshire HX5 0SQ
Who are we?
We are a small charity who power support, awareness and research for those impacted by mitochondrial disease. Mito is a genetic energy production with no treatment and no cure, and it can range in severity from being asymptomatic to incredibly debilitating. It is a life limiting illness, and affects 1 in 5000.
We are looking for volunteers to support our online sales fundraising which will allow us to continue doing the work that we do. We rely on fundraised income, as we do not receive many grants because we are such a little-known cause, and we struggle a lot with our capacity with a team of just two paid staff, and an incredible team of volunteers!
Please refer to our website (mymitomission.uk) for more information and an insight to what we do!
The role
We need volunteers who are able to come into the office once a week or every two weeks, to photograph and research items, then upload them to eBay or Vinted. They will also help out with responding to customer queries and packing and sending parcels.
We are hoping to have a physical charity shop set up soon in our office building at Project Colt Mills, and will need our online sales volunteers to help with this in future too!
Tasks and responsibilities

* Researching items for online sales
* Uploading items onto online sales platforms

Why work with us?
* We're a supportive, friendly team that values flexibility and collaboration

Please note that our current offices are not fully wheelchair accessible, as there is no step free access. We are working to resolve this.
At My Mito Mission, we’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive. We recognize that accessibility is a vital part of that commitment. In line with the Equality Act 2010, The Human Rights Act 1998, The Work and Families Act 2006, Employment Equal Treatment Framework Directive 2000 (as amended), and our own Equality and Opportunities Policy, we will ensure that within the Charity, no member, volunteer or person for whom the Charity provides services, receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of sex, marital status, age, race, colour, sexual orientation, creed, nationality, ethnic or national origins or disability nor will be disadvantaged by any rules, conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable in role related terms.
