About the Role
This key support role in the Planning Department requires leading and managing day‑to‑day operations of the Planning Support team, developing systems and procedures to improve ways of working across the planning service, and specifically within Development Management. Report to the planning service managers and lead a team responsible for Planning Support, including the validation of planning applications, Land Charges and Business Support. The role is customer focused.
About you
* Knowledge and understanding of local government and/or the planning process.
* Experience in a business support and supervisory role.
* Customer focused and a team player.
* Proven information management, numeracy and ICT skills.
* Ability to meet challenging deadlines and manage competing and changing priorities.
* Ability to improve business processes and implement change.
