Vehicle Image Engineer

£36,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
Hours:
38.5 per week
Three days at 7.5 hours
Two days at 8 hours

Purpose:
Act as a technical expert in vehicle construction and repair.
Provide assistance, support, and development opportunities to the office team, enhancing their skills, knowledge, and efficiency.
Conduct image-based desktop inspections and authorise independent and manufacturer repairers within agreed tolerance levels.
Review complaints related to technical vehicle construction and repair issues, offering guidance and recommendations for the best course of action.
Perform regular sample audits of the repair network in line with the Repairer Audit Policy, ensuring compliance with claim circumstances, repair methods, and costs.

Person Specification:
Essential:
23. IMI VDA - AQP accreditation (or working towards it)
24. Membership of the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors (or working towards membership)
25. Knowledge of insurance principles
26. Effective negotiation skills
27. Ability to conduct accurate audits
28. Up-to-date awareness of industry and market developments
29. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
30. Clear, articulate speech and written communication skills
31. Experience with or knowledge of Audatex, HPI, Glass's Guide, and CAP products
32. Strong organisational and time management abilities
33. Capability to present data meaningfully and to deliver presentations to large groups
34. Experienced, empathetic, and professional
Desirable:
35. Familiarity with relevant software and tools such as Cortex, Retina, or Autoflow products
