Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. Were problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?
This role will be within our Water Services Partnership, a repair and maintenance and metering contract building on our 25+ year relationship with Yorkshire Water. M Group Water provide a 24/7 365 day a year emergency service to Yorkshire Water to undertake planned and emergency leakage, network optimisation and maintenance and replacement and installation of domestic and commercial meters.
You will be responsible for leading Continuous Improvement within the WSP contract, taking a structured approach to enhance KPI performance and operational efficiency by reviewing performance data, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting and implementing operational and back office processes and systems improvements. Working with stakeholders at all levels in the team you will lead initiatives, selecting and implementing changes to improve performance, drive efficiency and delivering quality for our Client and our customers.
You will use data and stakeholder feedback to identify and prioritise issues, apply recognised continuous improvement tools and methodologies to understand the causes and select optimal changes, measuring the outcomes and embedding new processes. You will play a key role as we hone our processes and make the most of SAP planning and scheduling systems so we can deliver our ambitious promises and improve service delivery. You will use strong communication skills to gain insight from people throughout the team and ensure the credibility of solutions selected and implemented.
Day to day you will review KPI and commercial performance and highlight any areas of improvement and work with the operational and planning teams to implement, drive and report on improvements, as well as updating our clients on achievements and lessons learned. You can clearly articulate to any audience the reasons for making change, the benefits which will be delivered, and any risks or barriers to successful delivery.
As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be playing a vital role in the success of our projects. You thrive on being a key player in our team, driving efficiency and advocating for change in the WSP contract. This role would really suit somebody who is passionate about improvement, using their experience and capability to make a real difference to the performance of the contract.
Youre not interested in simply going through the motions - you want to be part of a dynamic team where you can make a real impact. You will be at the forefront of simplifying how we work, prioritising our efforts and creating an environment where issues are identified and put right. This role is about being proactive, analytical, and committed to delivering results.
What youll bring Relevant experience in an operational field, ideally utility bases.
Previous experience in Continuous Improvement, demonstrable track record of delivering continuous changes and improvement, preferably gained within Utilities Contracting
Capability and desire to use data and other information to identify and prioritise opportunities for improvement
Good facilitation skills, able to lead both in person and remote sessions
Full driving licence essential as there will be an element of site-based travel involved within the role
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain credible working relationships at all levels
