Your Role
We are excited to announce immediate openings for motivated individuals to join us as a Lead Direct Support Professional in Washington, DC. In this role, you will:
* Provide compassionate support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
* Communicate effectively with families, interdisciplinary teams, and service providers.
* Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
* Prepare meals according to individual preferences and dietary needs.
* Help develop daily living skills by addressing social, environmental, and healthcare needs.
* Transport individuals to appointments and community programs, providing mobility training as needed.
* Participate in client meetings and training sessions to ensure compliance with program requirements.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* 2-5 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
* Preferred: Trained Medication Employee (TME) certification.
* A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
* CPR/First Aid certification and TB test results.
* A High School Diploma or GED.
* A genuine passion for helping others with daily activities and companionship.
* Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
* Experience in a residential setting supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
* Experience working with medically fragile individuals or those with physical limitations.
