Your new role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in the design, delivery and coordination of electrical building services across a range ofplex projects. Working within collaborative, nonperforming engineering teams, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Leading electrical design from concept through topletion
2. Producing calculations, specifications, reports and drawings
3. Overseeing project delivery, resource planning and quality control
4. Coordinating with mechanical, sustainability and architectural teams
5. Attending site visits, client meetings and design workshops
6. Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
7. Ensuringpliance with standards, regulations and best practice
Projects vary by consultancy but typically include large‑scalemercial office refurbishments, education campuses, datacentres, high‑end residential schemes, healthcare upgrades andplex CAT A/CAT B fit‑outs.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Strong experience in electrical building services design within a UK consultancy
9. Good understanding of BS standards, CIBSE guidance and UK regulations
10. Proficiency with industry software (Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit advantageous)
11. Strongmunication and client‑facing skills
12. Ability to manage projects independently and deliver to deadlines
13. Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership (CEng/IEng)
