Are you a creative and motivated Year Out Student (Part 1 Architectural Assistant) ready to take your first step into practice? We're looking for a Year Out Student to join our Manchester and London Studios at tp bennett and contribute to exciting design-led projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your technical and design skills, and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative studio environment.
Job Purpose
Working as part of a project team under the guidance of a Project Lead, you will assist in the design and production of architectural schemes across a range of projects. You’ll play an active role in supporting the team while developing your professional skills in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Support design tasks under the direction of the project team
* Assist the Project Lead in monitoring project progress and achieving weekly targets
* Prepare drawings and documentation for review prior to issue
* Ensure all work complies with relevant statutory regulations and standards
* Conduct research into materials, products, buildings, and suppliers
* Assist with supplier coordination under supervision
* Participate in limited client and consultant interactions for specific tasks
* Maintain job diary, weekly logbook, and timesheets
* Support general office and project-related duties
* Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements in daily activities
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* RIBA Part 1 qualification in Architecture
* Strong academic background
* Proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
* Excellent design and presentation skills
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, InDesign, and Photoshop
* Revit experience desirable but not essential
