The Role
You will take a leading role working closely with Managers across health and social care and service user groups as well as suppliers and practitioners within Tameside MBC and Tameside ICB. You will also be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) on a day‑to‑day basis. This will involve ensuring that interfaces with all partners and clinicians are robust.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and provide specialist advice on a vast range of Community Equipment, keeping abreast of equipment development and best value.
You will need to effectively manage and prioritise your own workload, and be able to work in a flexible and sensitive manner within a demanding service.
About You
You should be a dynamic and driven person who wants to ensure the CES is delivered to the best of your ability. You should have a good standard of education although a professional clinical qualification is not essential because we expect you to have experience and knowledge of Community Equipment Service processes and how they work within a local authority.
As the role involves managing a contract you will have experience and knowledge in contractual matters. You should be able to communicate information at various levels with differing levels of management within the Council and within the supplier hierarchy.
