Offer description

Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our dedicated finance team. You will play a vital role in supporting our payroll function for our UK & Ireland workforce, ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

1. Assisting in the processing of our monthly payroll using Workday Payroll and managing employment tax compliance.

2. Loading and reconciling payroll data to ensure accuracy.

3. Serving as a key point of contact for employees and HR, helping to resolve queries related to payroll and taxation.

4. Supporting the Payroll & Compliance Manager with testing transactions in Workday and implementing new legislative changes.

5. Helping to fulfil information requests for audits and management reports.

6. Working closely with the Head of Reward and Payroll Manager on exciting annual projects.

7. Taking ownership of the benefit invoicing process and helping to manage supplier relationships.

8. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and helping to implement them.

What Experience You Need

We're looking for a motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in this field. As this is a Level 5 apprenticeship, we are looking for candidates with strong foundational qualifications.

9. Qualifications: You must have 5 or more GCSEs (at grades A*-C or 9-4), which must include Maths and English. You'll also need 2 or more A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.

10. Skills: A strong head for numbers, excellent attention to detail, and great communication skills are essential. A proactive and positive approach to learning is key!

What Could Set You Apart

While not essential, these skills and qualifications would make your application stand out:

11. Any prior experience or familiarity with Workday Payroll.

12. A Level 3 or Level 4 Payroll qualification (or progress towards one).

13. Previous in-house payroll and benefits experience.

14. Good knowledge of DC pension schemes.

15. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with formulas, IF statements, and VLOOKUPs.

If applicable, this is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, by achieving a Level 5 Payroll Assistant Manager Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading software like Workday.
