Role Overview We are seeking an efficient, adaptable and resourceful Personal Assistant who is comfortable working with senior leaders in a busy and fast‑paced environment. Previous PA experience at senior or executive level is essential. Key tasks include monitoring mailboxes and managing diary requests; arranging and supporting meetings; booking travel and accommodation; maintaining action logs and other administrative tasks to support the smooth working of the leadership team. Responsibilities
Direct support to the Chair and Chief Executive, managing mailboxes, diaries, and travel arrangements. Provide secretariat support for meetings, including cross‑directorate coordination. Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including AMs, MPs, and senior executives. Act as first point of contact for complex enquiries, ensuring courtesy, confidentiality and GDPR compliance. Manage risk, action, decision and issue logs; support recruitment decisions and communications. Coordinate specific corporate or directorate work and prepare documents and presentations. Analyse information, including political implications, to assist decision making. Support governance of the management team and share best practices across the organisation. Carry out health and safety duties and incident response activities. Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Minimum 4 GCSEs A*–C (incl. Maths and English/Welsh) or NVQ Level 2 in Administration. Experience in an PA or EA role supporting senior level managers, dealing with highly sensitive matters. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent organisational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to plan, prioritise and resolve issues independently. Broad knowledge of the organisation and its functions. Knowledge of current local and national issues affecting the organisation.
Welsh Language Requirement
Essential: Level A1 – entry level. Welsh language skills are an asset; basic spoken Welsh is desirable.
