Job Description: Investigator in Building Regulation Enforcement
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is establishing the new Building Division (BSD) to ensure the safety of high-rise buildings and the well-being of residents. BSD will oversee safety standards, engage with industry and residents, and raise professional standards annually. This division aims to honor those affected by building safety failures and prevent tragedies like Grenfell from recurring.
As an Investigator within the Regulation of Building Control Profession, your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and conducting investigations into complaints and allegations.
2. Ensuring compliance by building control professionals and organizations with regulation requirements.
3. Preparing documentation for enforcement actions, criminal and misconduct trials, and appeals.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in criminal and civil investigations.
