The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
The role involves overseeing all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards, and compliance with site and industry regulations to operate as a top-tier COMAH Site.
You will work closely with operations to meet quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Responsibilities include ensuring all Mechanical Maintenance activities are performed safely and timely, collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards during all work activities.
* Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, review, and issuance of work packs with RAMS.
* Track progress and inform relevant parties on work status.
* Handle priority work from defect identification to completion, including raising PRs and organizing resources.
* Document and close out work orders in the CMMS system.
* Manage administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary matters.
* Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules.
* Contribute to Root Cause Analyses and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
* Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities related to PMs and equipment reliability.
SHEQ
* Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety requirements during maintenance tasks.
* Promote a positive safety culture within the team.
* Ensure work quality aligns with industry standards and OEM recommendations.
* Report accidents, near misses, and suggest safety improvements.
Equipment Management
* Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervise Maintenance Mechanical Technicians and prioritize work according to site needs.
* Coordinate with OEM contractors for inspections and future PM planning.
