Great opportunity to join a leading Energy Company at the forefront of long-duration energy storage innovation. You’ll play a key role in the construction of a groundbreaking Renewable Energy Storage Power Station in the North West, just outside Manchester.
The Role
* Ensure that all required policies, manuals, procedures, and work processes for Construction Operations are fully implemented.
* Review the project and construction scope, BOQs, and project execution plan; assess the schedule and finalise construction deliverables such as the Construction Execution Plan, Subcontracting Strategy, Construction Management Team Organisation, Construction Manpower Mobilisation Plan, and Site Set-Up Checklist.
* Identify early site work requirements (e.g., survey activities, establishment of pioneer camp, etc.) and initiate timely action.
* Promote the Project Production Control (PPC) daily progress monitoring approach among the project team and subcontractors.
* Serve as the focal point for CDM roles and compliance.
* Interface with executive management to ensure effective and efficient project reporting.
Required Experience
* Relevant degree or diploma from an accredited college or university, ideally with a background in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a construction environment, ideally within the power sector.
* Extensive experience in direct-hire construction with an international Engineering & Construction (E&C) company.
* Experience working in both the UK and EU.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC form contracts.
* Proven experience in site management and a clear understanding of CDM regulations and expectations.
