Supply Desk are a nationwide education recruitment company specialising in Primary, SEND, and Secondary education. We place education staff in day-to-day and long-term placements across a wide range of Primary and Secondary schools throughout Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex.
We are currently seeking reliable and enthusiastic Primary Teachers to provide ad hoc daily supply cover in schools across Lewes and the surrounding areas. This flexible opportunity allows you to select the year groups you are most confident teaching, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
About the Role:
Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher looking for flexible work within supportive school environments? We are recruiting qualified teachers to step into classrooms on a day-to-day basis, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.
This role is well-suited to experienced teachers and ECTs who value variety and flexibility, while still making a meaningful impact in local schools. There may also be opportunities for longer-term or ongoing placements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across selected primary year groups (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
• Follow school planning and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Uphold strong classroom and behaviour management standards.
• Assess pupils’ work and provide feedback where appropriate.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Flexible, professional, and reliable approach.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
