A permanent vacancy has arisen for an experienced and motivated candidate to join Forth Valley’s Primary Care Contract team as Contract Manager. The team’s portfolio covers independent contractors in General Practice, Community Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry.
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring contractual arrangements across the services and plays a vital role in supporting independent contractors in providing effective and patient centred delivery of services linking with Clinical Leads. Maintaining effective relationships are key with priorities such as contractor listing processes, new contract arrangements such as Pharmacy opening arrangements, sustainability and responding to patient enquiries. This is a great opportunity for a person who possesses excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload, along with ensuring oversight of a team and the associated tasks. Primary Care Services in NHS Forth Valley is a busy and interesting area in which there are many opportunities to learn and develop.
Responsibilities will be dealing with contractor and patient enquiries via telephone and or e-mail, liaising with other work colleagues including the Central Legal Office, other colleagues in other Agencies e.g. Scottish Government and members of the public.
Experience of contract management, corporate governance or procurement would be an advantage combined with sound organisational skills. Knowledge of Primary Care services is preferred but not essential for this post. You will have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/E-mail/ Intranet/maintaining filing systems. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post although significant use of Microsoft Teams for meetings is anticipated.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
