Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £57,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Job Description
Due to ongoing success and company expansion, our client is looking to add a skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to their team. The role involves leading projects from inception to completion, primarily focused on machinery design for the packaging industry.
The Role
* Attend specification meetings with customers.
* Provide technical guidance to colleagues and take ownership of mechanical design aspects.
* Maintain high standards in project documentation.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design engineers to resolve issues and ensure timely project completion.
* Remain commercially aware during projects.
* Produce parts lists, assembly drawings, and detailed drawings.
* Conduct risk assessments on machinery and assemblies.
* Attend project meetings and update Project Managers on progress.
The Person
* 5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
* Proficient with SolidWorks or similar software.
* Capable of producing 2D and 3D models.
* Perform engineering calculations and analysis.
* Confident in leading a technical team on larger projects.
