About Bayberry:
Bayberry is part of UK Addiction Treatment Centres, providing residential treatment and support for adults experiencing alcohol use, substance use and mental health difficulties, including anxiety and depression. We are a highly-regarded, private, short-term residential clinic operating successfully for 17 years. As a unique and pioneering organisation, we are CQC regulated (rated 'Good' in all categories), approved to work with Private Medical Insurance (PMI) clients (such as BUPA), and provide specialist support to NHS doctors in need of therapeutic care.
Set within luxurious, serene countryside facilities, we describe our services as well-being and recovery. We serve a small number of clients at a time, providing an unusual opportunity to work intensively with them and input daily into their therapeutic journey. Because clients typically stay with us for a voluntary 4-week period, we see extraordinary results in very short timeframes.
Our Core Values:
At the heart of everything we do are our four core values:
* Understanding – listening, empathising, and responding to individual needs.
* Kindness – treating everyone with dignity, respect, and compassion.
* Accountability – taking responsibility for our actions and maintaining high standards.
* Teamwork – working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Senior Psychotherapist to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work within a pluralist team dynamic, bringing mixed modalities to strengthen our holistic approach to client care.
You will work with varied mental health presentations and co-morbidities (including anxiety, depression, low mood, grief/loss, impaired sleep, and substance/alcohol use). While we do not treat presentations like EUPD/BPD for specific outcomes due to the short-term nature of the facility, we do work with these clients holistically to provide support and coping strategies for their other presenting issues. We also support intimate partner work and psychosexual needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Assessments & Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, utilising formulation (5 Ps model), and develop, implement, and monitor personalised care plans.
* Therapeutic Delivery: Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques, following the clinic's program while utilising your own agreed modalities.
* Documentation & IT: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records using digital note systems and IT scheduling tools in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Team Collaboration: Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and provide appropriate handovers to enhance collaborative care.
* Professional Standards: Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and regular external supervision to maintain registration with your accrediting body.
Person Specification: Who Will This Role Suit?
* Experienced & Confident: A senior psychotherapist with sufficient competency, training, and experience to work safely with complex needs and varied co-morbidities within a short-term residential setting.
* Creative & Curious: Someone who appreciates the capacity provided by our environment and values the opportunities presented by intensive, short-term work with a small client cohort.
* Collaborative: A supportive team player who thrives within a multidisciplinary dynamic.
* Organised & Reliable: A punctual, orderly professional who promptly completes notes and maintains high ethical standards.
* Core Traits: A good-humoured, kind, calm, and deeply empathic individual.

* Experience in developing and adapting care plans effectively using the 5 Ps Formulation model.
