Role
You’ll be responsible for the full turning process from start to finish, including:
* Programming CNC lathes using Alphacam CAM software
* Setting and operating Doosan and Haas lathes
* Machining a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, specialised steels and brass
* Handling batch sizes ranging from one‑off prototypes to production runs of up to 400 parts
* D‑burring, quality checking and final inspection of finished components
* Working both independently and collaboratively within the turning team
Qualifications
* Strong, proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes – Doosan and Haas specifically
* Proficiency in Alphacam
* Experience machining a range of metals to tight tolerances
* The ability to manage the full manufacturing process autonomously
* Experience on mill‑turn lathes would be a distinct advantage
* A reliable, quality‑focused approach and the ability to work well in a small team

* Starting salary of £37,500 pa negotiable depending on experience

* Day shift only with early Friday finish – 07:30 – 16:00 Mon to Thursday, 07:30 to 13:30 Friday
