Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and clinically confident Post-registration Pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive general practice team at The Pontypool Medical Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or early-career pharmacist (up to 24 months post registration) looking to build their clinical skills in a primary care setting.
You will work closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred use of medicines for our patient population.

About Us
Pontypool Medical Centre is a multi-site general practice operating across several locations.
Our main site is a large, well-equipped surgery located in the centre of Pontypool. We also have two smaller branch surgeries: one in New Inn and a dispensing practice in the village of Goytre. In addition, our wider group includes practices based in Newport and Gelligaer, offering the opportunity to gain experience across a range of different primary care settings.
As a large and dynamic practice with a diverse multidisciplinary team, we are well placed to provide a broad and comprehensive training experience for foundation pharmacists

Undertake structured medication reviews and support medicines optimisation
Support patients with long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, hypertension, and diabetes
Provide prescribing support under clinical supervision (if independent prescribing qualified)
