Role: Senior Designer

Overview
The Senior Designer plays a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality workplace design solutions. This position is responsible for establishing design vision, leading project delivery, and ensuring the creation of engaging, functional, and innovative office environments.
The role involves managing design projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients and internal teams, and mentoring junior designers. The Senior Designer contributes to both winning new business and successfully executing awarded projects.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Contract / Bid Stage
* Analyse and interpret client briefs to fully understand project requirements and objectives
* Develop design strategies that respond to the brief and exceed client expectations
* Present and validate design direction with clients through ongoing engagement
* Produce multiple design concepts, layouts, and space planning options
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver design workshops and bid strategies
* Contribute to the creation of high-quality pitch materials and presentations
* Develop compelling design narratives to support concepts
* Confidently present ideas and respond to client feedback
* Produce 2D and 3D visualisations to communicate design intent
* Participate in competitive pitch processes
Post-Contract / Delivery Stage
* Lead design development through all project phases
* Obtain client approvals at key design stages
* Ensure designs align with project budgets and commercial objectives
* Produce and oversee block plans, adjacency diagrams, and detailed design packages
* Prepare and review technical drawings and documentation with accuracy
* Develop detailed joinery drawings where required
* Research and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures
* Coordinate procurement and supplier engagement
* Attend site visits, meetings, and project coordination sessions
* Collaborate with internal teams including technical, commercial, and project management
* Maintain clear communication with contractors and suppliers
* Lead technical design throughout development phases

Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in interior or workplace design
* Demonstrated experience within commercial design and build environments
* Strong portfolio showcasing design capability and project delivery
* Passion for design and a proactive, creative mindset
