CNC Machine Setter Operator – Production Department (Halstead)
Role Highlights

5. Early shift: Mon-Fri 6am – 2pm (paid 0.5hr lunch) Total = 40hrs
6. Late shift: Mon-Thurs 2pm -11pm =36 hrs (paid 0.5hr lunch) Fri 2pm – 6pm = 4 hrs Total = 40hrs
7. Shift Premiums:
8. Early shift: +£5.00/day.
9. Late shift: +£10.00/day.

Role Responsibilities
17. Machine Setup: Programming Mazak CNC machines
18. Operational Control: Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, feeds) and operate semi-automated machines.
19. Quality Assurance: Inspect parts using precision tools and periodically test machine operations.
20. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues during shifts.
21. Documentation: Maintain accurate production and defect records.
22. Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
Skills and Experience
23. Technical Expertise:
24. Proven experience as a CNC Machine Setter Operator/Programmer.
25. Familiarity with factory and machine shop practices.
26. Educational Background:
27. Production Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (e.g., NVQs, ONC).
28. Attention to Detail:
29. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
30. Problem-Solving:
31. Strong decision-making skills and adaptability.
32. Communication:
33. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork.
34. Additional Skills (Preferred):
35. Experience with Mazak CNC machines.
