* Contract: Full Time, Permanent
* Location: RAF Fairford / Welford
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 4:30 PM. On‑call rota 1 week in 3/4
* Salary: Up to £42,000
About the Role
This hands‑on Electrical Engineer & Tester position delivers both planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial and domestic buildings, with a focus on commercial environments. Duties include PPM activities, fixed‑wire inspections, compliance testing, and fault response on critical systems and assets. The role requires meeting timescales, key performance indicators and maintaining high safety and quality standards. It also involves client‑facing interactions with building custodians and stakeholder stakeholders.
Out‑of‑hours coverage is required on a flexible basis, anticipated to move to a one‑in‑three or one‑in‑four arrangement.
What We’re Looking For
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, plus knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification and solid experience in fixed‑wire testing and general electrical maintenance within commercial settings.
• Experience in high‑compliance or critical environments is highly beneficial. Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) experience or qualifications is a strong advantage.
• Confidence in a client‑facing role, with the ability to manage expectations and build positive relationships on site.
Security Clearance (SC) eligibility is required for this role.
