Semi Skilled Technicians will be responsible for manufacturing electronic and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies, such as integrating electrical boards, wiring, and final assembly, in accordance with provided specifications, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Understanding drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
2. Supporting manufacturing processes at the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) line.
3. Assembling/placing through-hole components, including lead forming and soldering.
4. Electro-mechanical assembly of various sub-assemblies up to and including complete modules and top-level assemblies.
5. Ensuring products meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
6. Applying lean techniques proactively.
7. Using systems to access manufacturing instructions, raise reports for non-conforming products, and maintain documentation for traceability.
8. Adhering to the 5S plan and monitoring shelf-life materials.
9. Supporting service activities as needed, based on personal training and certifications.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
Core Requirements
* Minimum GCSE Grade C in Maths and English.
* Experience in the electronics industry or a similar discipline.
* Ability to interpret detailed drawings and manufacturing instructions.
* Proficiency with basic tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, soldering irons.
* Basic computer skills, including office tools.
* Willingness to undertake training for skill development.
* Flexibility to work additional hours and shifts if required.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting strict deadlines.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Certification to IPC 610, IPC 620, J-STD-001, HPC 19, IPC 7711, and IPC 7712.
* Manual handling techniques.
