You will play a pivotal role inleading and delivering highquality ecological assessments surveysand mitigation strategies collaborating with our talented team ofecologists landscape architects and environmental planners. Yourresponsibilities will include:
1. Conducting and leading on ecological surveys includingprotected species surveys habitat assessments and biodiversityaudits.
2. Undertaking environmental impactassessments and preparing ecological reports.
3. Designing and implementing appropriatemitigation measures to enhance biodiversity and protect ecologicalhabitats.
4. Providing expert advice onecological matters to clients stakeholders and project teams.
5. Mentoring and supporting junior ecologistssharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their professionaldevelopment.
6. Building and maintaining strongrelationships with clients contractors and regulatory bodies.
Aboutyou
1. At least a degreein Ecology Environmental Science or a related field.
2. Several years experience in ecologicalconsultancy with a strong focus on conducting surveys assessmentsand preparing a range of ecological reports.
3. Sound knowledge of UK ecology legislationguidelines and best practice.
4. A proven trackrecord in managing and delivering ecological projects meetingdeadlines with at least 3 years of experience in projectmanagement.
5. Strong communication skills withthe ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
6. Experience of advising clients on BiodiversityNet Gain including production of Biodiversity Impact Assessments(BIA) and use of the DEFRA metric.
7. Aparticular interest or skill in ornithology or protected speciesincluding licence holders would be advantageous.
8. Membership or eligibility for membership witha relevant professional body (e.g. CIEEM).
9. Afull UK driving licence and access tovehicle.
