Job Description Permanent Weed Control Technician (Hard Surfaces) An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the successful Pro Lawn Technical team. Our aim is to "Give Beauty Without Costing Time" We are now looking to recruit a Permanent Weed Control Technician specialising in the treatment of hard surfaces such as driveways, car parks, patios, paths, and other landscaped areas. Experience in weed control would be advantageous, but is not essential we will provide full on-the-job and classroom-based training to the right person with the right attitude. The ideal candidate will be: Polite, friendly, and courteous in all dealings with customers and colleagues. A confident communicator with excellent verbal skills to help maintain our reputation for outstanding customer service. Highly motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Willing to work hard, apply common sense, and eager to learn new skills. Happy to assist our lawn treatment and scarifying team when required, especially during seasonal peaks. In possession of a current full driving licence applications without one cannot be considered. Comfortable using smart mobile devices, as you will receive job instructions and record work via a job management app (full training provided). PA1 and PA6 certification would be an advantage or a willingness to undertake training and examination for both within an agreed timeframe after starting. Main duties will include: Application of herbicides on hard surfaces to control weeds and moss using both knapsack and vehicle-mounted equipment. Application of moss and algae eliminator products to prevent slip hazards. Vegetation clearance from hard-surfaced areas, including mechanical and manual methods. Seasonal treatments to keep hard surfaces free from weeds, moss, and algae. Assisting with vegetation management in commercial and residential settings, including fence lines, gravel areas, and landscaped spaces. Providing additional support to the lawn treatment and scarification team during busy periods. Working as part of a team on our Winter Garden Services, including pruning shrubs and bushes, lopping small trees, and general garden tidying. Occasional support for other grounds maintenance or garden improvement tasks as required.
