<div><h3>Mental Health & Well‑Being Lead</h3><p>Salary: £29,125 – £32,567 (FTE £32,940 – £36,833). Working hours 37 hours per week: Monday‑Thursday 8 am‑4 pm; Friday 8 am‑3:30 pm.</p><h3>Role Purpose</h3><ul><li>Develop effective mental health and well‑being processes for students.</li><li>Provide safeguarding support as a member of the DSL team.</li><li>Line‑managed by the Well‑Being Centre Manager.</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead support strategies for students with mental health concerns identified by SLT, Well‑Being Centre Manager, Head of Year, Head of Faculty.</li><li>Develop and deliver workshops (e.g., managing anxiety, exam stress, exercise for mental health).</li><li>Lead the student Well‑Being Ambassador programme.</li><li>Promote mental health at school assemblies.</li><li>Support WBC Manager with staff CPD on mental health.</li><li>Supervise students working in the WBC.</li><li>Create and manage mental‑health support plans.</li><li>Maintain logs of internal and external support engagements.</li><li>Engage parents in partnership for student support.</li><li>Assess impact of support plans.</li><li>Attend attendance strategy meetings as required.</li><li>Identify local services and liaise with external agencies and professionals.</li><li>Oversee referral and monitoring of students engaging with MHST/CAMHS.</li><li>Coordinate with attendance officer, DSL staff on EBSA absences and return‑to‑school planning.</li><li>Communicate support plan details to subject teachers.</li><li>Prepare for mental‑health accreditation (BHCS).</li><li>Attend safeguarding meetings and triage CPOMS referrals.</li><li>Undertake any other reasonable tasks directed by SLT or Well‑Being Centre Manager.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications and Skills</h3><ul><li>Ability to obtain Mental Health First Aid qualification (arranged by school).</li><li>Keen interest or background in child psychology / mental health.</li><li>Current knowledge of education research and child development.</li><li>Passion for supporting young people.</li><li>Initiative, high motivation and proactive work ethic.</li><li>Drive role to deliver high‑quality impact.</li><li>Approachable, professional manner with staff and vulnerable students.</li><li>Excellent organisational, time‑management and presentation skills.</li><li>Sound knowledge of Office 365 and willingness to develop data and monitoring skills.</li><li>Ability to meet tight deadlines, listen, work in a team.</li><li>Collaboration & coaching willingness.</li><li>Problem‑solving, work under pressure.</li><li>Professional promotion of BHCS work and development.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication.</li></ul><h3>Application</h3><p>Closing date for applications: Friday 26 June 2026 @ 4 pm.
