This is a dedicated TUPE role, working closely with the Director of People, HR and New Business teams to provide expertise on a range of TUPE projects – from small transfers of a few employees through to larger, more complex transfers. You will play a key role in shaping how TUPE is planned, communicated and delivered across the organisation.
You will use your expertise to ensure transfers are legally compliant, well-planned and people-centred, while supporting the organisation through regular retenders and changes in service provision.
The Role
This critical role will be responsible for project managing TUPE transfers in and out of the organisation, ensuring all processes are managed in line with TUPE legislation and best practice. This will include :
* Leading the end-to-end TUPE lifecycle (due diligence, ELI, consultation, transfer and follow-up)
* Supporting both TUPE in and TUPE out
* Working closely with New Business and Bid teams to inform contract bids and retenders from a people perspective
* Providing clear guidance to HR, managers and senior stakeholders on risk, cost and impact
* Supporting employees through change, with a focus on clear communication and fair process
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and consistency across TUPE activity
About You
Are you a true TUPE SME who enjoys owning the process and working with a high degree of autonomy?
You will bring :
* Proven experience in managing TUPE processes from start to finish is essential
* Strong understanding of TUPE legislation and associated employment law
* Experience of working on multiple TUPE projects at pace, including larger or more complex transfers
* Confidence in working with data, contracts and employee liability information
* The ability to build trust quickly with managers, HR colleagues and external providers
* A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach, comfortable leading transfers independently
This role will suit someone who is reliable, diligent and calm under pressure, and who takes pride in delivering TUPE activity in a way that is both compliant and human.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
