Lead Developer (Cloud Platform)

* Salary: Up to £85,000 base + 20% bonus
* Location: Hybrid - Manchester (central)

The Opportunity

A fast-scaling enterprise SaaS platform is expanding its engineering capability and requires a Lead Developer to drive technical direction within a critical product stream.

This is a greenfield-heavy environment. You will be shaping architecture, influencing engineering standards and leading by example through high-quality code.

What You'll Be Doing

* Leading a squad building cloud-native services
* Designing and developing scalable .NET-based microservices
* Working across Azure and event-driven systems
* Championing engineering best practice and CI/CD maturity
* Collaborating closely with product and architecture teams
* Mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on

Environment

* .NET 8 / C#
* Azure
* Event-driven microservices
* REST APIs
* CI/CD (GitHub Actions or equivalent)
* Modern front-end integration (React ecosystem)
