The Medical Imaging Department at Regis College is seeking an adjunct lecturer for the fall 2025 semester to teach NM409 Radiation Physics and Radiation Protection. This course focuses on radiation physics, biology, and protection, covering topics such as radiation interaction with matter, radiation measurement, and safety regulations. It is a 3-credit, 15-week course starting on September 2, taught in person on the Weston campus.
Essential Functions
* Teach courses in Nuclear Medicine
* Engage with all responsibilities related to teaching: content preparation, grading, office hours, student engagement, assessment, etc.
* Meet periodically with the Dept. Chair or Program Director to discuss content, student progress, and challenges
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess:
* A minimum of a BS degree (graduate degree preferred)
* At least 5 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology
* Commitment to undergraduate/professional education and student success
* Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment aligned with the University's diversity and inclusion values
* Active CNMT credential by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Boards and/or ARRT RT(N) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
* Ability to collaborate with faculty
* Proficiency with teaching technology such as Office 365, Moodle, and online resources
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
* Standard classroom environment; not exposed to extremes of noise or odors
* May require extended periods of standing, working on a computer, or interacting with students and staff
