Management Accountant - Construction company

£40,000 to £50,000
My client is a well know construction company that specialises in high end projects, they are currently turning over around 2 million pounds, and they are growing rapidly.
This position has become available due to a long-term member of staff is leaving so this role is perfect for someone looking for an immediate start.
This position is a sole role and is reporting directly to the managing director however there is plenty of support available from the wider office-based team if required.
Duties:
* Financial Oversight: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
* Risk Management: Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
* Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, statements, and analyses to Directors.
* Audit Coordination: Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
* Cost Management: Analyse and optimise cost structures to improve profitability and efficiency.
* Other tasks will include monthly accounts, VAT returns and cash flow management.
Requirements:
* Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or AAT and Bookkeeping.
* Must have Sage experience.
* CIS and PAYE submissions monthly.
* VAT submissions quarterly.
* Experience in the construction industry will be an advantage.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5.30pm.
