The role
Ferrovial Construction is looking for Quantity Surveyor Interns to assist with commercial management/contract administration at Heathrow Airport from June to the end of August 2026.
The Ferrovial NextGen Internship programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of our Senior Quantity Surveyors.
Key Responsibilities
A large part of your work will involve tender enquiries, analysis of quotations and subcontractor procurement.
Key Accountabilities
1. To assist in the management of the day-to-day bill of quantities for the relevant sections of allocated projects to ensure financial efficiencies
2. Help analyse subcontractor valuations
3. To be focused on cost control in line with the businesses’ financial systems
4. To liaise with the procurement teams as required to ensure compliance with financial parameters
5. Assist in the production and monitoring of Applications/Final Accounts/payment certificates/change control
6. Assist in checking agreed sub-contract Applications/Accounts
7. Document control
8. Contribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy
9. To promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts.
10. Adopting and promoting Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values. Taking ownership of the work assigned to you
Skills and Competence
We are looking for interns with:
11. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels
12. Excellent written and oral English language
13. Excellent numerical skills
14. Currently studying a Degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying
15. Motivated to learn and add value to the team and the role
16. Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving

18. Enjoys working under pressure to meet deadlines
19. Proactive approach to working and learning
20. Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry
21. Familiar with all Microsoft packages

Essential
26. Must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment and for the entirety of the internship programme.
Other details
This role is looking at a June 2026 start and August 2026 end.
