company are recruiting for a
Principal Hydrogeologist
to join the team based in
one of our UK offices, either Bristol, Shrewsbury, Derby, Richmond or Stirling.
This is a
full-time, permanent
position.
Responsibilities:
* Providing expert advice on groundwater management, including abstraction licensing, pollution control, and monitoring
* Ensuring clients can navigate complex regulatory frameworks while sustainably optimising water resources
* Undertaking comprehensive hydrogeological assessments, including water resource, impact, and risk assessments
* Keeping up to date with developments in hydrogeology and related fields, sharing knowledge across the team
Qualifications and Experience:
* A postgraduate degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related discipline, with at least 8 years' experience
* Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., Geological Society, CIWEM)
* Excellent technical knowledge of hydrogeology, including groundwater resource assessments, impact assessments, and risk assessments
* Strong project management skills, with experience managing projects from start to finish
* Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences
* Commercial awareness, with experience identifying and developing business opportunities
Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive salary of £50,000+, depending on experience
* Permanent, full-time contract (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
