Pebbles Care has an exciting opportunity for you to collaborate with our established team and become an integral part of our children's lives. Your role may vary each working day across a small cluster of homes, with various shift patterns to support holiday or training cover. Our unique cluster roles allow you to enhance your development and enrich your experience by offering varied work and the opportunity to work across diverse teams.
Responsibilities
* Daily home life tasks, including driving children to and from school, appointments, and visits (a full UK manual driving licence is essential).
* Teach valuable life skills, including meal preparation and household chores, while creating engaging activities, outings, and holidays.
* Work as part of a dedicated team across multiple locations in a cluster of homes, providing support tailored to the young person’s needs, either one-to-one or two-to-one.
* Participate in day-one induction and shadow shifts to learn the Pebbles Way and our therapeutic care model, supported by the manager and Learning and Development team.
Role Details
* Part-time employment as a dedicated team member, averaging 45 hours weekly.
* Work with your team on shift across multiple locations within a short journey of each other.
What We Offer You
* Salary: £34,719.00 to £36,248.00 per annum, pro rata for part-time roles, depending on experience.
* Cluster full-time pattern: rota of one day on (24 hours, including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours); average 45 hours per week; rota may change with advance notice.
* 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (pro-rata for part-time contracts).
* 100% funding for Level 3 SVQ/NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care through Learning and Development.

* Proficient IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft packages.
Desirable Qualities
* Up to 12 months experience working with children or young adults (more than 12 months may affect salary level).
* Working towards, or desire to obtain, SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma relevant to Children and Young People’s Residential workforce (funding may be available).
* Familiar with Codes of Practice set by regulatory bodies.
* PVG/DBS certificate or equivalent.
