Description
The Camper Support Team is responsible for assisting the Director – Day Camp with the implementation of inclusion programming, relevant training, and promotion of the Inclusion Initiative throughout the association.
Reports to: Director – Day Camp
Core Expectations
1. Program Management & Development
o Directs and supervises program activities to meet the inclusion needs of our membership.
o Assists with program development and provides oversight to SSYMCA summer camps, including managing sensory smart week.
o Creates curriculum, serves as an instructor, and implements screening processes.
o Acts as a liaison to families/support systems and assists with program evaluations.
2. Staff Engagement & Development
o Develops and implements inclusion trainings for staff, volunteers, and members.
o Leads camp inclusion teams, provides regular communication with the Director and program staff.
o Provides ongoing guidance on best practices, strategies, and positive behavioral supports.
3. Membership Engagement & Development
o Develops plans to support members' success in programming, classes, and events.
o Maintains communication with families and support systems of members requiring inclusion supports.
o Develops individual support plans and collaborates with outside agencies.
o Promotes the Family and Community Network and fosters a culture of inclusion.
4. Volunteer Development
o Builds development plans for inclusion interns and volunteers.
o Recruits families to participate in the YMCA’s networks and committees.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, or related fields.
* Knowledge of ABA and PBS.
* Minimum of 3 years related experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; training in internal software provided.
* Ability to develop positive relationships with staff, children, and families.
* Effective teaching skills and a commitment to diversity.
* Skills in staff and volunteer development, planning, and supervision.
* Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
Physical Demands
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Regular standing, walking, talking, hearing. Occasionally sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
