At Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems and engine components. We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.

At our Prestwick facility, an exciting opportunity has arisen for two Logistics Controllers to join and support our business. These are onsite* roles.

What you will do:

1. Receipt of parts into stock locations from internal/external suppliers ensuring documentation complies with all regulatory compliance requirements.

2. Routine cycle counting to facilitate the accuracy and integrity of inventory items.

3. Point of Use (POU) set-up and management of stock within designated areas of control.

4. Accurate, safe and timely loading/unloading of transport vehicles.

5. Manage the collection of facility generated waste streams by contacting approved waste contractors.

6. Ensure a safe and orderly working environment in line with 5S principles.

7. Attend meetings where necessary and deliver regular updates to site management in relation to department Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement opportunities

8. Compliance with all RTX policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements

Skills / Experience you must have:

9. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask effectively, plan and prioritise workload.

10. We are looking for individuals with excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and influence internal and external customers at all levels.

11. You will have a working knowledge of MS Office and experience with the ERP system SAP or similar as a major element of computer work is required in this role.

12. The role requires flexibility in rapidly evolving global aviation market. Dayshift/Backshift rotation will be required as well as participation in the AOG (Aircraft on Ground) out of hours support team on a rota basis (with associated competitive premiums).

13. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland security check in line with Known Consignor regulations.

Skills / Experience we value:

14. Previous exposure to Logistics operations in an Aerospace/Aircraft Maintenance or Manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.

15. There is also a requirement to drive a forklift; therefore, forklift experience is preferred.

*Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hours of Work:

29. Dayshift: 06:00 to 14:30 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 to 11:00 Friday

30. Backshift: 14:15 to 22:45 Monday to Thursday and 10:45 to 15:45 Friday

31. Weekend work is also required on a rotational basis.
