About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Governance Officer to join our Information Governance team. This role will support the delivery of high‑quality information governance arrangements across the organisation, helping to ensure compliance with data protection legislation, records management requirements and wider governance standards.
Working closely with colleagues across services, you will help manage information rights requests, support data protection impact assessments, maintain policies and procedures, provide practical advice to staff and contribute to a culture of strong information handling and accountability. This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, collaborative and committed to high standards of governance.
Role Requirements
* Experience of working in an information governance, data protection, compliance or administrative environment, with a good understanding of confidentiality and information handling principles.
* Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with a wide range of colleagues.
* Proactive team player with strong attention to detail and confidence to provide practical support on matters such as information requests, records management and data protection processes.
* Willingness to learn, improve services and support a positive governance culture.

Post Flexibility
Subject to organisational needs, the postholder may be required to undertake other duties reasonably commensurate with the grade and nature of the position. Any substantive changes will be made in consultation with the postholder and in accordance with applicable UK employment law.
