Our client is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst capable of gathering requirements and demonstrating deep knowledge of the role, effectively linking business and technology teams. The ideal candidate is confident, able to challenge the business, and a first-class communicator. Travel to various client sites across the UK may be required.
Essential qualities and experience:
* Experienced Business Analyst with a proven track record in shaping and delivering IT projects within a multi-divisional business environment.
* Strong analytical and business analysis skills.
* Understanding of the assigned business domain, including operating models, activities, data, processes, and information requirements.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience dealing with senior business users, requirements gathering, prioritization, and issue resolution.
* Recognized qualifications in business analysis and project management methodologies such as Prince 2 Practitioner, APMP, Scrum Master, etc.
* Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships across all levels of the business.
* Recognition of IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL.
* Leadership qualities, authority, independence, and self-starting attitude.
* High-level teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to assisting others.
* Ability to engage and influence both IT and business peers.
* Customer-focused, committed to exceeding expectations.

Operational duties include:
* Defining business requirements and developing solutions with subject matter experts.
* Collaborating with the business to agree on requirements and secure necessary investment funding.
* Assessing impacts of functional changes, advising on management and communication strategies to ensure successful implementation and realization of benefits.
* Providing recommendations for improving current processes and supporting change implementation.
* Documenting key processes clearly and concisely.
* Identifying risks, issues, dependencies, and escalating as needed for mitigation.
