Due to ongoing client wins and impressive growth, DAC Beachcrofts Casualty Injury team is looking to recruit a talented Paralegal. Whether youre an experienced Paralegal or new to Defendant Personal Injury work, we have this exciting opportunity for you!
Our Casualty Injury team focuses primarily on employers liability and public liability claims, but also products and care claims. We handle claims of all values, and our work is interesting and rewarding. You will work within a dynamic and supportive team (with full and supportive training provided), handling your own case lead and also assisting the team with more complex/higher value claims.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Paralegal who is ready to focus on their career. What you will do?
* Effectively run files to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusion
* Ensure work is carried out effectively to meet the needs of clients and the commercial requirements of the firm, and adhere to quality standards
* Adhere to internal and client SLAs, KPIs and protocols
* Achieve agreed financial targets
* Promptly bill and collect WIP and disbursements
* Provide MI promptly and accurately
* Develop and follow a clear case strategy that balances the commercial interests of the firm and the client
* Apply appropriate and current technical expertise and case law
* Manage risk and compliance issues within each case, escalating emerging problems to the Supervisor when required
* Engage with clients where appropriate to build rapport, acting as an ambassador for the firm
* Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training sessions and reading relevant publications
Who you are
* Paralegal with 1 or more years experience in a similar role, ideally with EL/PL experience. Alternative backgrounds such as disease, pre‑litigated Defendant work, clinical negligence or profin are considered.
* Enthusiastic about joining a well‑established, highly regarded Casualty Injury (EL/PL) team and able to envision building a future with DAC Beachcroft.
* Strong organisational skills, able to meet deadlines, prioritise workload, handle conflicting demands and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
* Detail‑oriented with excellent attention to quality of service.
* Eager to collaborate and build lasting relationships with colleagues as part of a growing team.
