Valve Fitter

£12.90 – 13.36 per hour (depending on experience)
An established company in Keighley is seeking an experienced Valve Fitter to become a key part of their expanding team
Valve Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assemble valves in line with engineering drawings, ensuring all components are correctly identified with heat numbers and required documentation
* Operate test rigs to test valves in accordance with specified requirements
* Accurately record all build and test data on relevant systems and documentation
* Carry out self-inspection of work, liaising with the Quality team where necessary
* Support and mentor apprentices when required
* Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing existing techniques and processes
* Adhere to the company’s core values at all times
Valve Fitter Ideal Candidate:
* Mechanically minded with excellent manual dexterity
* Reliable with strong timekeeping and attendance
* Good problem-solving skills
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements
* Maintains high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
* A team player with effective communication skills
* Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
Valve Fitter Working Hours and Benefits:
* 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Flexitime system with an early finish on Fridays
* 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays)
* Pension scheme with an 8% combined contribution (4% employee / 4% employer)
