We are entering an exciting phase of growth, relocating to the Midlands to bring Kyocera SGS and Kyocera Unimerco Tooling together under one roof, creating Kyocera’s largest carbide tooling site in Europe.
About The Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will take ownership of site maintenance and facilities, ensuring manufacturing equipment and building services operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving preventative maintenance, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing plant and equipment to minimise downtime
* Plan and deliver preventative maintenance schedules in line with compliance requirements
* Maintain equipment documentation and ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, digitisation, and monitoring systems
* Manage spare parts, suppliers, and maintenance contractors
* Oversee day‑to‑day building and facilities maintenance, including utilities and environmental services
* Act as the primary contact for facilities issues, including out‑of‑hours support when required
What We’re Looking For
* HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering
* 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer, or similar within a manufacturing environment
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills, ideally with CNC machinery
* Hands‑on, proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
* Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and statutory compliance requirements
* Clear communicator, able to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors

Initial training will take place at our Wokingham site and continue until mid‑April, with all accommodation and travel expenses covered by the company. Following this period, the role will be permanently based at our new facility in Fradley, Staffordshire. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, with some flexibility required as and when needed.
