What we are recruiting for: We are currently recruiting for a Project Management Assistant to join our Public Sector and Regions Construction business as part of our DEOP team. DEOP (Defence Estate Optimisation Programme) is £5.1bn government major programme of works to rationalise the Defence Estate across the UK. Roles & responsibilities: The role will support the project team in the delivery of the contract works through the ownership and execution of key tasks that will drive project performance. The roles and responsibilities will be focused on supporting the successful close out of key project challenges and risks through information gathering, generation and consolidation into an appropriate format for use in project meetings and reports. To do this effectively, the successful candidate will need to liaise and collaborate with not only the Bovis team but also the wider project team that includes the client and their consultant team, works contractors, and key external stakeholders. A key aspect of the role is data analysis and reporting. Being able to navigate multiple project systems and consolidate data into a format suited to the intended audience will be essential. Where information is not available from project systems, the successful candidate will need to engage with members of the project team and as such, excellent communication skills are required. Working within a large and busy team will require a resilient and persistent approach to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved. The role will be supported by senior management, but an ability to operate self-sufficiently will support the role. Experience & background: Excellent communication and collaboration skills Highly organized and structured working style Needs to be agile to respond to competing project priorities Driven in the close out of tasks to deadlines Needs to be a quick learner in order to navigate the variety of project systems Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools – especially excel Requires an aptitude to develop and poses the basic skills to input into the digital design management processes Please note that due to the nature of this role, national security vetting procedures apply, and a full UK security check will be carried out for the successful candidate.
