Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline, centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality solution that meets the users needs. System Engineering discipline executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.
As a you will be responsible for:
1. Supporting the System Engineering Manager with system engineering on allocated project.
2. Developing system deliverables including BoD, PFD, P&ID, philosophies etc..
3. Prepares material for system design review process
4. Ensuring all activities that span multiple components and products are managed effectively considering how to integrate for maximum performance and operability
5. Supporting management of system requirements, specifications and flow down to sub-systems / products / components
6. Supporting validation and verification activities for the overall product / system, including system level testing
7. Support technical interface management
8. Identifying opportunity for variation orders from technical aspects and drive to approval with PEM
9. Supporting CTQ / Risk trades across teams designing products
10. Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in own sphere of expertise. Strong knowledge of technical concepts in technologies that intersect with own technical space
11. Communicating across the organization. Presents to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and across functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall solution
12. Ability to travel to supervise testing activities as and when required
13. Managing specific scopes (including issue resolution) as allocated by the System Engineering Manager
14. Deputise for the System Engineering Manager as required
15. Taking assignments as required leading technical aspects of commercial pursuits, applying skills & expertise to ensure competitive subsea systems

To be successful in the role, you should have:
16. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with experience in Engineering/Technology).

27. Previous experience in project/product on-site fabrication/testing is seen as beneficial
28. Proven track record of achievement in previous roles
29. Knowledge of appropriate and relevant Industry Specifications, Standards and Regulations
30. Industry related experience in relevant products as noted above
31. Functional and operational knowledge of relevant internal processes, procedures and tools
