About the Role
Are you looking to take your nursing (RGN, RNLD, RMN), occupational therapy, paramedic, or physiotherapy career in a new direction? Do you want a role where your attention to detail, compassion, and empathy are valued, alongside work-life balance, education, and opportunities to develop into the medico-legal profession? Or are you interested in transitioning your career into an Occupational/Vocational pathway?
* Assess up to four to six customers per day.
* Conduct assessments via paper, telephone, video, or face-to-face.
* Document clinical observations, questions, and create written reports.
* Pass reports to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) for support decisions.
* Assess benefits such as Personal Independent Payments or Employment and Support Allowance managed by DWP.
Training & Development
You will receive industry-leading training from experienced clinical tutors, enabling you to support customers with diverse clinical issues and transfer your current medical skills to this role.
Training lasts approximately 6 months, during which you will be paid. This role supports maintaining your RGN or HCPC registration with revalidation assistance. Post-training, you'll have ongoing CPD (over 100 hours annually), support with revalidation, and career development opportunities within the organization. You will also be allocated a clinical supervisor and have the chance to study for the Diploma in Disability Assessment Medicine accredited by the FOM.
Your Requirements
Applicants should be nurses, OTs, paramedics, or physiotherapists with at least 1 year of in-patient clinical experience. Strong IT skills, including typing at 40 words per minute, are advantageous. The role requires clinicians who are highly literate, detail-oriented, and possess adaptable communication skills suitable for working with a diverse client group.
