Payroll and Finance Specialist - Bedford | Hybrid (1-2 days/week)Full-Time | 12-Month Fixed Term | Mon-Thu 8:30-5, Fri 8:30-4:30
We’re hiring a Payroll and Finance Specialist to join our busy finance team in a manufacturing environment. You’ll lead accurate payroll processing (from manual to digital systems), support HR with payroll queries, and contribute to month-end financials and reporting.
What you’ll do:
* Process monthly payroll and HMRC submissions
* Handle holiday pay, pensions, salary sacrifice, and benefits
* Reconcile accounts and support financial reporting
* Collate HR data and create reports
* Ensure compliance with HMRC and audit standards
What you’ll need:
* Strong UK payroll experience (ideally in manufacturing)
* Confident with Excel and Sage (or similar systems)
* Solid knowledge of UK payroll law
* High attention to detail and discretion
* CIPP/AAT or similar (preferred)
