Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all dishes are prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
