Due to unprecedented growth and future expansion, we are now seeking to expand our Technical R&D Consulting business in the Midlands. Operating from our HQ in Derby, we are looking for experienced R&D Tax Experts who are eager to manage the entire client journey from start to finish, with the full support of an in-house Technical Writing Team.
Your responsibilities include organizing in-person meetings with clients, typically engaging with decision-makers such as Owners, Managing Directors, Financial Directors, or Technical/Operations Directors. You will discuss the R&D tax credit scheme, gather technical information about the company's innovations and R&D activities, and assess eligibility for R&D Tax Credits.
You will review and support the writing of Technical Reports to be submitted to HMRC, justifying the R&D tax credit claims. Additionally, you will manage the ongoing process, liaising with clients to collect financial data for their claims, including material and subcontractor costs, working closely with our Accounts Team to prepare financial schedules.
Requirements:
1. Ideally, you will have prior experience with R&D Tax Credits and an understanding of the claim process.
2. A friendly, personable approach with strong communication skills to understand and reflect technical information and ask insightful questions.
3. Some scientific, technical, or engineering knowledge to facilitate technical elicitation.
4. A full UK driving licence.
5. Basic knowledge of accountancy (profit and loss accounts, balance sheets) is advantageous but not essential.
Positive Aspects of the Role:
1. Flexibility to organize your own schedule according to personal needs.
2. Output-oriented approach with flexible working hours, including options to work from home or our Derby office.
3. Opportunity to work with diverse, innovative clients across various sectors mainly in the Midlands.
4. A sociable company environment with internal development opportunities and part of a wider international group.
5. Competitive salary.
