Pharmacy Production Officer, Technical Services Band 4/5 depending on experience
Full time – equating to 37.5 hours per week. Part time will be considered.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated technician to join our established team in Technical Services as a Pharmacy Production Officer. The MHRA-licensed ‘Specials’ pharmacy manufacturing unit is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, a modern purpose-built facility within the hospital. The service includes aseptic, chemotherapy, and pre-pack (over-labelling and re-packaging products) to supply both the Trust and external organizations. Our department continually strives to re-engineer services to improve patient-focused pharmaceutical care and customer satisfaction.
As part of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for preparing products, including systemic anti-cancer therapies and intravenous nutrition. This involves working in a controlled environment with protective garments and shoes. The post holder must understand and follow standard operating procedures and possess good manual dexterity. After in-house training, the post holder will undertake in-process, pre-process, and final release of products.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team.
