Environmental Health Technical Officer
Full Time – 37 hours per week (Hybrid working)
Grade 7 - £38,220 to £41,771
Location – Council Offices, Kiln Road, Benfleet.

We’re looking for an Environmental Health Technical Officer to join our friendly, supportive and forward‑thinking team at Castle Point Borough Council.

About the role
You’ll work across a broad range of Environmental Health functions, with a focus on:
* Public Health, Statutory Nuisance and Environmental Protection
* Private Sector Housing
Your day‑to‑day work will be varied and hands‑on, including:
* Investigating noise, smoke, light and other nuisance complaints
* Dealing with vermin, accumulations and other public health issues
* Inspecting private rented properties and HMOs and dealing with complaints
* Supporting residents and businesses to resolve issues
You’ll also have opportunities to gain experience in other areas such as food safety, health and safety, animal welfare and special treatment licensing / registrations.
