As a Technical Applications Engineer based in Field Based you'll be responsible for: To select and quote refrigeration products and services for colleagues and customers across Wolseley Climate Center central and northern regions on specific branches as part of a wider team Attend contractor and end-user sites to assess project requirements, validate designs, and support commissioning activities Produce detailed project designs including system layouts, component selections, load calculations, and refrigerant line sizing. Prepare quotations for multi-component refrigeration systems, ensuring accuracy in pricing, part selection, and system compatibility This is a full time permanent role, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 08:00 - 17:00. And here’s what we’d like you to have: 5 years in semi-industrial refrigeration technical sales and applications. Understanding of CO2 trans critical booster packs, gas coolers, evaporators, and ancillary equipment selection. Familiar with HFO, HFC and natural refrigerants application and equipment selection. Some knowledge of F-Gas, PED and DSEAR Able to use pipe selection software such as Micro Calc or Hot-Chilli. Ability to read P&ID and electrical drawings.
